So the bad news is we’re moving out of the county at the end of July. 🥺
Children needing a new outlook and a fledgling business that demands closer proximity to our capital have conspired to mark the end of a halcyon chapter of fishing obsession in North Norfolk and oh, how I shall miss these shores.
10 weeks to beat my pb of 79cm? No problem.😬
So, given the time pressures and constraints of the next ten or so weeks, maintaining the newsletter is going to be impossible but as a final farewell flourish, I’m considering condensing the season’s guiding into a couple of potentially spectacular weekenders.
Saturday/Sunday 8th & 9th June and/or 6th/7th July. £200 per person for two days of guided fishing. Sort your accommodation and I’ll sort the rest. Fish, relax, fish some more, pub, sleep, fish, repeat. Fly and lure with a maximum of ten people per weekend on a first-come, first-served basis. Weather permitting BBQ’d bass on the beach or I’ll try and sort a venue who can feed us.
Will have to take a punt on the weather but with good tides on both weekends and a little luck, there should be some fish to catch. Worst case I’ll leave all my local knowledge (and a bunch of prized lures) in the ring and you’ll leave with a choice of marks, how to best fish them and hopefully a laugh or two along the way.
To get a sense of numbers and interest (or lack thereof) please drop me a line at guidemyfishing@gmail.com and we’ll go from there. (Or, if you have my number send me a message.)
Some fish are starting to show and even though the sea is currently a ways off clarity-wise, the season is at last upon us.
Thanks as ever for reading and supporting this albeit brief endeavour to keep you updated and mildly entertained.
I hope to see you out there before the final fishing curtain falls and may this season be kind to us all.
